DENFAIR is one of Australia’s largest design fairs, it’s a place where interior designers, architects and design lovers can see the latest trends under the one roof.

Marking its fifth year, Australia’s leading architecture and interior design trade fair, Denfair, showcased lighting innovations, new furniture launches and furnishings by emerging local designers and established brands with a scattering of international talent.

Many of the exhibitors in both residential and commercial environments discussed the crossover between work and life, and how our home environments have been changing to reflect this,’ says Claudio Oyarce, Denfair’s co-founder and director of the overarching ‘Life Work’ theme.

Danijela Blazevic, Comdain Homes’ interior designer, shares what inspired her this year and tracked down some Australian talents whose approach caught her eye.

The Seletti stand was truly inspirational. The use of colour and eclectic mix of design and patterns is show stopping wow!!!!!

The use of customised wallpaper murals by London Art was another trend that caught my eye. Wallpaper murals can be incorporated into any living or bedroom setting to add interest and atmosphere.

And these stunning ceramic and Brian Tunks glass pieces would enhance any living space.

Bisonhome’s stand was a standout with its beautiful on-trend colour palette and stylish designs.

The theme of this year’s fair was Life Work and this range of exquisite, sophisticated storage products from Sagitine is a fine example of the way our home and work lives are merging.

On the furniture front, there were some wonderful feature armchairs from New Zealand’s Tim Webber Design, with design influences ranging from the 70s, 80s to Japanese.

And last but not least, I was drawn to the Hegi Design House stand by the beautiful, handmade, fine linear and understated designs.  There’s plenty to inspire you here!
